When Walter is connected through a Phone Line and you get a Error message of “NO DIAL TONE”.Why?

When there is NO DIAL TONE on the Walter
  • First thing you need to do is to check if the phone line is connected into the right port of the Walter which is nearby the Power switch underneath the Walter
  • If the phone line is connected properly into the right port the next step would be to check out if the phone line is working and has Dial TONE and in order to check that you may like to unplug the phone line from the Walter and connect the same phone line into some hard Phone to pick up the phone & see if there is any dial tone?
  • once you confirm there is NO DIAL tone in the phone line, you need to check out where is the other end of the phone line where it is connected from which splitter/switch etc. if you find that the phone line was not plugged properly from both the end just make sure you plug them properly and reboot the Walter and see if it says NO Dial Tone again or not
  • once you confirm the phone line is not working at all please take the Walter to some other location and see if it starts dialing out (if possible please try using Fax line)
