What is Open punch?
|
Punch whose hours do not show up on the timesheet as it is incomplete or unapproved is an Open punch. There are basically four reasons for open punch:
Punch is missing its corresponding IN or OUT
Punch requires approval (e.g., blocked, missed punch, finger image mismatch)
Punch is over 23 hours long
Punch was added/changes after the timesheet was submitted
Another example: This punch has only time-in but no time-out (See the Status --> Waiting for OUT punch).
